a closer view of the shoulderboards of a 3rd year greek officer candidate!
giorgos p the greek EM tunic its quite simular but not exactly the same as the british one...i have both and i can tell...i'v never heard of british tunics used by greek troops in 1940/41...i dont think that's ever done...simply original EM tunics are extremely hard if not totaly impossible to find today so the greek collectors using the british ones to fill the gap...
i agree with you that they are hard to find but my example has a war department inspection stamp and the buttons are original to the tunic because the stiching of them is original to the tunic.
a citation for the greek war cross 3rd class awarded to artilery captain Sarris Stamatios for his heroism and distinquished actions during the war against Italy 1940-1941
some greek medals from ww2, except the one with the blue and black ribbon, the three medals on the right case and the rightmost medal of the left case were awarded to my grandfather
