Article about: During the civil war the greek army wore batledress uniforms constructed in Canada Australia or England,these were worn by all ranks, some officers who were commisioned prior to ww2 continue

    you are right i examined this tunic myself some time ago but for greek militaria he has quite a lot!

    giorgos p the greek EM tunic its quite simular but not exactly the same as the british one...i have both and i can tell...i'v never heard of british tunics used by greek troops in 1940/41...i dont think that's ever done...simply original EM tunics are extremely hard if not totaly impossible to find today so the greek collectors using the british ones to fill the gap...

    i agree with you that they are hard to find but my example has a war department inspection stamp and the buttons are original to the tunic because the stiching of them is original to the tunic.

    if i remember correctly i have read in a book by the greek armys history department that the british supplied the greek army with some uniform items during the war against Italy and that is the reason that i believe my tunic is original

    some greek medals from ww2, except the one with the blue and black ribbon, the three medals on the right case and the rightmost medal of the left case were awarded to my grandfather
