    Thanks Tony

I have only once taken this group out and displayed it in public at a show: People were very surprised to find it was all one Lady's.

Here is her other BD Blouse. She had this tailor made in 1944: Huntsman & Co. Saville Row again. The skirt in matching thick serge material was shown in the earlier pic. Buttons are horn.

Again she had this updated to wear in the WRAC.

The formation sign is for the 63rd Signal Rgt Aldershot district.

    Her decorations are:

    Order of St John
    1939 -45 Star
    France & Germany Star
    Defence Medal
War Medal 1939 1945 with MID bar
    Coronation medal 1937
    Coronation medal 1953
    Territorial Decoration
    League of Mercy medal
    US Bronze Star

She was one of only 19 women to win the US Bronze Star.

The two tone silk lining is stunning! It changes colour as it moves in the light.

Hi William, I need help to find the citation for this. All (I think) I have on this is the London Gazette anouncement. But no details as to why she was awarded it.

This must have been her favourite Service Dress tunic. It has the same style of silk lining but in blue. Saville Row again...

1943 dated and updated again for use in the WRAC.

Stunning and undoubtedly one of a kind collection to one persons service. Truly amazing Lez, many thanks for taking the time to photograph it all and to share it with us.

Beautiful group... I don't think there is anything else to say about it, quite outstanding :

Certainly she had rich tastes if she could afford to shop at H Huntsman & Sons. They have a very expensive reputation even today.

For a very short time I used to work at 23 Savile Row, which at the time (c1991) was the HQ of English Heritage. I was a 'Curator Grade G' at the Ancient Monuments Laboratory

The cap badge is Kings Crown worn 1949 to 1952.
