Thanks Ralph sorry to disappoint but this Mk IV would have very probably being used by are British cousins as at the end of WW II for the most part all of the Mk III's that were loaned to Canada were returned to the crown.
Mind you there are a few period images of Canadians using turtles during Korea and shortly there after I will have to see if I can find them again still a nice helm to have on display though.

    Regards Mark

Thanks James an under appreciated helmet in my opinion that seen years of service with the MOD this is the seventh one to grace my shelves and they all have something a little different to offer.
I have not had a chance to remove the tab yet to see if the snap is marked but with out a doubt a piece of cut webbing this particular helm came out of the UK and was purchased from a member of the WAF.

Indian Patka Helmet ( Safety Head Gear ) these have been exclusively designed for the Indian Army and have seen service in other paramilitary forces such as the Rashtriya Rifles,CRPF and various state police departments and have performed well in the field and have been used in the theatre of operations in Jammu and Kashmir Provence's they were originally developed as head protection to be used by Sikh soldiers, as they wear their ‘Pagdi, dastaar so the initiation was to make such a platform which could be easily used with there head dress...
