Here's mine, a cased near mint Deutsche Kreuz in Gold by Klein.

'I do not think we can hope for any better thing now.
We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.

Hells bells Ned, that is one beautiful piece, no wonder you kept that under wraps, wanted it all to yourself eh
That EK2 is something else Nick, i suppose your going to put it back in the vault now
Cheers Dave,
It'a beauty that's for sure, I don't think it's ever been worn (posthumous award perhaps?) the front is completely unmarked, not even the slightest wear or scratch to the swaz, planchette or gold wreath and the tips of the sun rays. The back still retains 100% of the original factory applied lacquer that has yellowed slightly over the years and the renowned fragile rivets are as new. I don't think I'll find better!
Regards, Ned.

Incredible examples gents. Ned, that Deutsche Kreuz is special, a truly beautiful example. Belter of an EK too Nick, well done chaps!

Carl
I can now remove my sunglasses having been truly dazzled by the "fresh out the box" glare given off by those two beauties...
The next generation Deutsche Kreuz in Gold, my 1957er, a distant cousin of Neds TR piece.....with coppered sunray burst....made in the mid 1960's.
Prost ! Steve.
Not distant Steve, that's sweet!!
Regards, Ned.
