Hi. I bought this norwegian medal for 3€ some months ago. What kinda medal is this? Was it a bargain?
That is the Norwegian Defence medal: Defence Medal 1940?1945 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think that was a real bargain, i got that medal with the "Rosette" and the original issue pack. Like in this one(It is not mine, but just an example):

I am going to Oslo next year for my 50th Birthday, primarily to see the Viking Longboat museum but would welcome any info on WW2 places of interest

    Cheers

Depends how much money you are bringing, I don't really want to be separated from my any of the items in my WW2 collection, but i think i have some items from sale. And a lot of post-war Norwegian army items for sale as well.

No i don't, i remember seeing a small book where it said where he was stationed, but i am not sure where it is now. I think it said that he was in the army sometime in the 1930's, and also sometime in the 1950's, which is kinda weird.

Hey guys, I am sitting on the bus right now headed for Lillesand, and in Oslo I went to a militaria store and i bought a British Tank Corps helmet, a German ID Disc, a British Ammunition pouch and a ribbon for the Norwegian Defence Medal. I can't show any pictures until sunday/monday so please don't hate me for it
