makeing mannequin stands.
i found these mannequins cheep. but they had no stands.
so got some wood. some screws, and some wood glue.
and made some.
i will still paint the bases, when time permits.
just thought i would show.
the size of the bases can change depending on the weight. i will change these. and bevele the edge....

Sometimes that is the best and cheapest way to go in the long run they look great. timothy
I'm looking for 2 full size with heads to mount some US AAF uniforms and those bad-boys are not cheap to find..
yea phil they can cost a bit. ive just been keeping a eye out for a little bit. but the two i got there i was able to bring the price right down. bye saying they have no stands. but the funny thing about these two was that they came out of a house, where the man that lived there has since passed on. i was told that he had a big military collection. the guy that sold them to me. said that to me.
ive been thinking about what to do with the bases. could put some cam netting or scrim on them. or just give them a coat of paint
thanks AIF, but i think i should get some ww2 australian kit together now. but that gear is getting hard to come bye down here now.
great idea ,nice displays and headgear too
