Next one in line is this two toned with a southern front look to it. It was found by a fellow collector at a car workshop in Italy some years ago where it was used as a screw box. It didn't have a gas mask inside so I added one along with the cloth and spring inside the can.

Almost done now, just got two pieces with tropical/tan paint to add.
The first one is dated 1943 and we have the name Jürgen Bücker and his feld postnumber 40746. It looks like someone has over painted the number at one point and you need a loop to discover that the number is 40746 and not 46746.
The feldpost number reveals that Mr. Bücker was stationed in the Balkan region;

A fascinating focus !

Last one is a early piece (1938) making it possible that it also has taken part in the Africa campaign. However the canister also shows remains of green and brown camo paint and could as easily have seen action in Italy or another of the southern fronts. One of those cans where you wish you had a fp number to look up.
Almost forgot some grouping pictures..
I hope you enjoyed the presentation. At another time I will make a thread with my camo MG tins.
Wonderful collection of canisters, I especially like the Normandy camo.
Yes, indeed... very nice collection, all great pieces!! I would love to have one like this --- especially a snow/winter camo one to go along with my winter camo helmet
Very very impressive collection Sir.
Jeg kjøpte en nydelig normandie camo m42 fra Løkken antik for 50dkr for mange år siden. Det er kanskje mer den veien hvis du holder øynene oppe.
Collect ROA, Cossack, Schuma and other WW2 Volunteer militaria.
