milmuseum- i do not have a drawing. The museum sendt me a copy of relevant information they had on the other macehead they had in the archives. But that specimen were found in the same condition as mine. Only the metal were found.
When i talked to the archeolog he said the weapon had a short quality wood grip of some sort. He was not 100% sure how it looked like.

In the UK you only have to hand in items if they are of precious metals, which means items like your mace head do not, which is a mistake and I think your system is better, though most people would hand in something like that anyway.
Yes i know of this law "treasure-act" or what it is called. It is wrong when people are to keep items of "no precious metal value".
ancient stuff belongs in a museum (my 2cent)
