Great stuff mate! I also was'nt going to collect SS and will probably leave it at what I have but it is nice to have a few items. Your helmet is terrific. cheers, Dave.
OK, so i'm still out of work but I can't help myself when something interesting comes along and it's not every day you find an early LAH erkunnegsmarken.
I'm heading to Germany in 3 weeks for a Christmas holiday and will visit Nuremburg. I may take the ID tag along as it was probably there during the party rallies of the mid-late 30s and it would be a 'coming home' of sorts after 65 years in Russian soil. Or is that a bit weird?
I would do the same mate

And you feel qualified to speak about weirdness Nick?
nice collection, I am going to reserch the SS items before I get involved.... Too risky!
"Reserch is the Key!"
Nice items
cheers,

I posted this erkunnegsmarken in the other forum yesterday but to keep my modest SS collection thread complete, i'll add these photos here also.
The SS Totenkopfstandarte 6 was raised in Prague on 12th Sept 1939 and was transferred to Sandefjord in Southern Norway 27th Apr 1940 where it was assigned to SS-Kampfgruppe Nord for the invasion of Russia.
Hi Glenn, good original items and that is all that matters.
Thanks for sharing them.
Cheers, Ade.
