    Hello, I want to present you my M1 helmet.

    This helmet was worn by Charles E. Cain during the Battle of the Bulge here in Luxembourg.
    He was born 1920 in Ohio and joined the 25 avril 1944 the army. He was married and worked as a skilled welder and flame cutter.
    He served the 101st Infrantry Regiment, 26th Infantry Division (Private First Class). He was KIA in Boevange the 31 december 1944 by a headshot and is now buried at the Luxembourg American Cementery.
    This helmet was found on a farm in Boevange. A piece of bone was removed out of the liner.

    If you don't mind me asking, how can you tell this belonged to him, I see no sign of the previous owners name on the helmet. I'm not discrediting you, I'm just curious

    Look at the last few shots of the helmet: It says "Charles E" and "C-3553"

    Nice helmet and piece of history, but a sad story... nice to see it displayed with info on the soldier who wore it and a photo of his final resting place though

    It´s really a nice helmet! But also a very sad story which I regognize when I hold it in my hands... Tomorrow I visit his grave.
    Yes but the fact is that there existe no relatives
