Established in 1950, this order was a strictly combat decoration, awarded exclusively by the DPRK Supreme Peoples Assembly Standing Committee. It was issued to leaders of larger military and guerilla units. A few were also awarded to Soviet military advisers and pilots who fought in the Korean War. This order can be roughly compared to the Soviet Order of Alexander Nevsky.
These are very detailed images North Korea made some very nice Orders and Medals for their military services. I look forward to seeing more of your collection in the future.
Thank you for posting and taking the time in providing information on your NK order.
These are really nice awards that I have not seen before. We Americans might end up seeing a LOT more of these in the near future, but not under the best circumstances. : /
