Re: My Private Museum IV
Hi Carfin, once again it is a pleasure to view your collection.
I found the paper target of interest in particular. The Panther hatches are great! I would love to see more of the glassmine box sometime.
The "Nibelungen" cuff title did raise a concern though being a late war unit which was not awarded a cuff title.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: My Private Museum IV
Hi Abe,
Thank you , You are certainely right.
A soldier of the division "Nibelungen" GIVE me the armcuff 25 years ago, he was effectively in the division (Soldbuch, wehrpass ect.. controled). I cannot be spécialist in all items in my collection: the old man give me the armcuff and I have no reasons to suspect a copie or a fake.
I am 61 and Ilearn alldays; thanks.
Here some pics of the German "Glasminen" boxes .
Two type of boxes; All two in raw wood boards
The first modèle is fulled up with straw or wood wool, and closed with raw wood boards, one glasmine of two had 2 pressure plates jacketed with a paper or a carton band.
The second type is not closed and the glasminen are separed with carton foils, each glasmine had his own pressure plate jacketed in paper or carton band, the two glasminen in the mid of the box have 2 pressure plates each.
I get 10 boxes this summer on a fleamarket 5 km from home for 7€ each. 9 complets, closed and in super condition, and 1 open without the straw. I sell 5 complet boxes in 10 secondes in Ciney for big money.
A good site for german boxes collectors:
wehrmachts.kisten
(in French, but very well detailled)

Carfin.

Hi Carfin, thanaks for the info on the cuff title. He might have picked it up as a memento.
The glass mine boxes are superb! Very nice to see.
That site is great and even I with "schoolboy" French can understand it
