    Hi guys

Thought I'd share with you my new cabinet, filled with stuff I have personally dug up since January 2007.

The only thing I didn't personally dig up are the inert bullets on the bottom shelf. Everything else was found on old WW2 gunnery ranges, WW2 airfields and a visit to the Ardennes.

    Hope you like them.

    Cheers

    Great pics.

About your top tip: Top tip - If you get a detection and spend the next 30 minutes digging a 2 foot deep hole and you STILL haven't found the item......move to the side a little bit !! (Many bad memories and sore arms through excessive digging !)

Allow me to elaborate - even if you find what you were looking for, it might not be what you hoped for (if you understand.

I got a hit and started digging and I dug that hole through roots and stones and what ever - only to find a smashed part of a gas mask container.

    All that effort for nothing.

Ohh well, I must try to console myself: It is the hunt, not the find, it is the hunt, not the find........as if!

Good luck relic hunting. A great hobby!

Hi, I don't think that is a part of a gas mask tin. It looks like a MG34 drum mag.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Thanks guys

And by the way.....i agree. It looks far more like part of an MG34 mag than part of a gask mask container
