Nice collection.

The bayonet you have is not for the M1 Garand. I do believe that those were for the M1 Carbine. It is a nice piece though.

It is the M4 Knife bayonet, and as correctly mentioned, for the M1 carbine. The M8A1 designation is just for the scabbard alone.
