Thanks. No the Brit medals are un-awarded. Will have to invest in some awarded to Aussie's one day but they dont come cheap over here.

What sort if price are them medals over there ? Here you can get single British medals for 10 pounds a medal ...

Thanks. I would like to try and collect a bit of everything to build up the collection. The 39-45 Star cost me AU$45 but that was too much. They usually sell for around $20-25, so do the 39-45 War Medal. The WWI EK2's set me back around $90 and the 57 EK2 was $95. Purple Heart was about $25 and the Bronze Star around $40. I limit myself as to how much i spend and try to keep it under $100. The cased sets were all around $45. I dont know why medals are expensive over here. The hip flask is only recent. Its pewter and has a date stamp in roman numerals for 1988. I think its a commemorative thing, picked it up for $50 at a collectors fair.
