Default My Soviet and German medal collection

    Hi all,

Just wanted to post up some pictures of what I have acquired over the last 2 months:

The lead soldier has special significance. It was one of the only toys my father had as a boy, and he recently passed it on to me. We've been told he is a Wehrmacht panzer commander, but I'm not sure how much stock I'd put in that.

    Not a bad start hey?

    Anyway, thanks for looking

Thanks Jason, I don't do things by half measures mate!

I've just bought a black wound badge and a Ost medal. I also have an 1942 SS feldpost coming from Croatia, to round out my German collection a little.

I just want a few other soviet medals and then I think I'll stop ;-)

Sounds like you have a couple of good pieces on the way. Be sure to post up pics.

I reckon you will have a hard time stopping though mate, lol.

Thanks guys - it is truly a consuming habit. Between my V8 car, my scotch collection and my militaria, I don't know where to stop!

Thank goodness I don't have a Fraulein to complicate things!

Hello all, here are some photos of my Ost medal and my black wound badge. I posted them in the German medals forum, but if you haven't seen them, here they are:
