Yes, does not look too bad. What year is the PPsH ?? It would be difficult to determine what marks were pre and post war, thats why I prefer to leave them alone

Great Piece and wonderful looking weapon. I always had a place in my heart for this rugged weapon.
Jaeger
Note: Sgt. Steiner of the "Cross of Iron" used these
there was no marks or refurb stamps on the stock it had 2 serial numbers and they are still there ....so never removed anything steaming wont remove stamps etc as the wood fibres are cut my 1944 nagant shows all marks that were on it just cleaned the stinky cosmoline off etc . i dont remove any metal work marks either its a big no no for me to .. its a 1944 i posted pics of the date on another thread as i couldnt make out the last 2 digits properly but all feed back came back saying 1944
as some would say crude weapon in a time of war get them out into the front line asap ...
cheers ken
this stick mag is ww2 production but the early bell mouthed ones are really hard to find . ive never seen one so far in the uk for sale ??

I specialize in M1 carbines and Lugers.
You have done a great job Ken ! Oh yes, I remember the other thread now !
Crude but effective weapon, same coul dbe said for our good old Sten !
How do you actually steam them ? Whats the process ? Also, how do you clean the metal work up without removing any of the original blueing or patina as it were?

How many you looking for ?
Mags need to wait ..1 wifes going mental on my spending and shes after a holiday lol .fair do's.. Good old steam iron wet cloth on the wood .tons of tips on youtube ..the metal 00000 grade very fine wire wool will bring back a nice blue gentle rub and wipe with soft cloth with very light oil.. Patina is a no go as this could be pitting type and in really old kit will de value the weapon . But WW2 kit depend how bad pitting is can be re work . Like an SLR L1A1 commimg back from the falklands go to the workshop for a fefurb etc . Ive seen this process getting done ...some ww2 stens were painted some reblued etc just depends .. But as a collecter i dont mind making the soviet refurb jobs a bit better .. Hope all that made sense
Cheers ken
They never left the factories looking that tidy. Nice Job
Mine has more wear and Patina but I wouldn't say no to either of them!
Now you just need a mint version of its little brother, the PPS-43.
If you're after an early stick mag you could ask D&B militaria to check their stock because they don't specialise, they may have one hiding among the regular ones. Is this one (Grenade Launcher Magazine, Rifle Magazine, Ak47 Magazine - D & B Militaria) by any chance? Ignore what the link calls if, it is a PPSh magazine, its just a weird link.
Tom
Hi Tom thanks mate the most frustrating thing is i had a cracking pps 43 old spec .but it went when i sold all my kit years ago i have many regrets but it was something i had to do to fund a morgage and new family.
