UNIQ ORIGINAL PAINTING OF HERMAN GÖRING (FROM NORWEGIAN NS MAN)
Unique painting of Hermann Göring.
It is very rare to find an original oil painting of Reichsfeldmarschall Hermann Göring. Most pictures of him hanging on LW offices, airports, etc. were color or black and white prints. Aperture of the inner frame measuring 60x50 cm. The original gold gilt frame affixed during the war is still intact. The Painting and frame is in beautiful condition.
The painting depicts Reichsfeldmarschall Hermann Göring wearing his "one-of-a-kind" Reichsfeldmarschall uniform. With the unique cap, the special collar boards, shoulder boards that only he used, and the only awarded "Grosskreuz".
This painting was found 26 September 2010 in an attic outside Tønsberg, Norway. The farm had been home to a great NS (Nasjonal Samling - Norwegian Nazi party) personality during the war. In the living room hung two oil paintings, one of Adolf Hitler and one of Hermann Göring . The children remembered the pictures where they hung in the living room. The NS man was arrested in 1945 and all German and NS stuff was then thrown away, the uniform, badges, books, etc. But not these paintings, they were placed/hidden away in the attic. This Oil painting is of the highest artistic quality.
I picked up this original British "Type C Drop Container" parachuted down to Norwegian resistance fighters (SOE) agents during the war.
It has the original markings and numbers and with the original paint still intact..
It was recovered from a small lake in the woods near Oslo a couple years ago after being dumped/hidden by the SOE agents after unpacking them..
This British made Shell Dressing made by: "Johnson & Johnson (Gt. Britain) Slough & Gargrav, England in May 1944" was one of the types parachuted down to Norwegian SOE agents and resistance fighters in Containers like the one I have above..
This particular dressing came to Norway during the war..
This is the method I use to take my photos generally, natural light..
It is easier to get good photos when it is a bright overcast rather than direct sunlight
Small German Field Dressing - 1943 (Verbandpäckchen)
This is a nice little German field dressing from 1943
The dressing is wrapped in a protective waterproofed grey rayon covering, which is held in place by a fine tied cord.
It has some writing and instructions, but it is hard to make out what it says..
Under the invasion of Norway in 1940 some of the German cargo ships with weapons and equipment were sunk. The Germans then used the Norwegian equipment and weapons of captured Norwegian soldiers and from Norwegian army warehouses in captured city's..
Here are some photos from my collection showing German soldiers under the occupation of Norway in 1940 using Norwegian equipment and weapons
Note the Norwegian Krag rifle, ammo pouches, pistol holster, backpacks and belts
