Hi all. I'm new to the forum and thought I would start off by uploading photos of my collection. I've been collecting WWII items for a couple years (I started with rifles then quickly made the leap to helmets, blades, field gear etc.) and am now starting to branch out to WWI items.

I've been very lucky to acquire a vast majority of my collection through family, friends and being in the right place at the right time!

Well, enough about me...here's my collection.

Thanks, guys! The box is a WWI Marking Outfit. During WWI, they did not issue standard dog tags (not until WWII) so each unit was issued this kit to stamp dog tags and mess kit accessories. It contains a brass hammer, brass base, numbers/letters and templates for each item.

    Thanks, guys!

I just pikced up the Colt about a month ago. The serial number is 2XX,XXX so I estimate the manufacture date as 1917. Definitley one my favorite peices in my collection.
