    Hi everyone.

Decided it was time to stop worrying about it and start my collection.
A friend told me about these items in a local auction house. I thought it might be safer to deal with a long established
company in the hope they will be properly checked out.....

I went along to view them, used all my minutes of experience and went for it.
I got them all for less than my top bid. Do they seem good to you?

The EK came "complete with citation." Something seems odd about it.....
Interesting though. Is there a list of recipients online somewhere?

please feel free to move this thread if it should be elsewhere.

    Cheers,

    Brian

Well I have never seen a hand written Erkunde ! Maybe it was awarded hastily in the field !

I can't speak to the Urkunde, but the buckle and the badges look good. Very nice start!

For review of multiple items, you may want to post each item in its specific forum . . .

Hi Brian, sorry to say that the EK award document is poor fake. (It is for an EK I by the way, not an EKII.) Look at the signature, Generalfeldmarschall Keitel: no rank filled for him or for the recipient or the exact unit.

I think the EKII needs to be looked at by those who specialise in then.

The Heer buckle and KVK II are fine.

    Cheers, Ade.

On the erkunde, shouldn't it be 'im Felde'?

I cant recognise the EK2, those rounded inner corners ? . Its not a Souval. Maybe the so called 'Stuttgart fake'

    Thanks.

The erkunde (I have learned a new term) was included and I was bidding on the EK anyway. When I told the employee that it was for a first class he just laughed sheepishly!

Also, looks to me like the pen ran out.

Always trust your own experience over a dealer's. A lot of sellers think they know everything about an object because they are the ones who have it.
