Portuguese Overseas War (Guerra do Ultramar) Bush Knife
Hi.,
I want to share with you the "bush knife" used by the Portuguese military during the Portuguese Overseas War (Guerra do Ultramar).
The Portuguese Overseas War (Guerra do Ultramar) consisted of a confrontation between the Portuguese Armed Forces and the forces organized by the liberation movements of the former overseas provinces of Angola, Guinea and Mozambique, between 1961 and 1974
Best Regards.,

You can see the Portuguese "Bush knife" on display on a mannequin.
Mannequin with the Portuguese Lizard Camo and M64 Gear System started to be used in 1964 during the Overseas War in Portuguese Africa from 1961 until 1974 in Angola, Mozambique and Portuguese Guinea.

Usually these this kind of "Bush knives" were made by the Portuguese Manufacturer ICEL - Indústria de Cutelarias da Estremadura , Lda.

I take this opportunity to pay tribute to a friend... Mr. Casimiro Carvalho.
Photograph of the Portuguese War Hero Ranger Mr. Casimiro Carvalho, that served Portugal in the Portuguese Guinea.
In the photo you can see Mr. Casimiro show his memories that he brought from Overseas: The camo, furriel Shoulder Board, belt and the bush knife. The knife is identical to those shown previously.
