Here is a photo of my US M1 helmet with its 1960s pattern Mitchell cover. This pattern was used in Vietnam, though this helmet is a USAREUR vet. The pattern is reversable with the green 'summer' pattern shown. The reverse is a brown / tan 'winter' pattern. Though this pattern was replaced in the early 1970s, I recall GIs still using them into the late 1970s in West Germany.

    Lovely Alexander,
Has the helmet cover a maker mark like the one I post here?

A few more things to add to the mix as per request by Dave some CADPAT light weight combat trousers and a combat shirt ,Followed up by woodland camo combat pants notice the woodlands have only a Nato tag with an ink stamp so I dont think they are a US issue garment have had them for a long time cant remember were I got them.
Last up are a rare set of camo pattern US style jungle boot the soles of the boot look correct for US issue but I dont believe they are ? Just found them in a box of shoes the misses had put away and a quick internet search has revealed this style of boot with the same camo pattern being used in Central America and Asia as far back as twenty five + years ago I will need to research them a little farther and see what I can find.

    Regards Mark K

Cheers Mark they are excellent. I'm drooling over that jacket mate, a big puddles forming at my feet.
Possibly the best temperate climate pattern to date hay.
    Very very nice kit.
Tassies warm and pleasant at the moment low to mid 20's C. No gripes from me.We start to cool down quickly late March when the cold Southery winds start blowing. We get no snow under 800-900m on average though. It very rarely snows at sea level, never in the northern half of the state.
Thanks again for posting them Mark they most cool mate.
