    Hi Fellow collectors, here I have a San Marco patterned combat jacket. The San Marco ( Italian Marines) developed their own take on the Italian three colour pattern, this example has the common colours featuring on Marine jackets, being a grey/green, mustard and lime-green. The green rubberised plastic star of Savoy on the collar tips is another Marine feature.This jacket has a integrated rubberised liner in the chest and shoulder areas. Most surprisingly this jacket was made in 1996, but appears to be a much older vintage. Incidentally these jackets have buttons to fix a detachable "wooly" liner for extra warmth ( not featured).
    I almost bought one of these recently, they really look good.
    Regards,

    Jerry

    Whatever its just an opinion.

    Hi Jerry,many thanks I would recommend sourcing on of these models, however the build quality is poor ( which I have found quite common with Italian combat clothing), however as I do not intend to wear it and it's purpose is for a collectable item only, sourcing one would be a great addition to your camo collection, many thanks for looking and your comments

    Sharing my Estonian cams. Had a hard time finding information on this set. From what I gather it is a pretty rare camo. The only information on why they are not around is that all uniforms are now recycled back into use and they do not sell them as surplus. Not sure if that is true.
    I think the rank is know as a Jr Sgt? Any assistance with the patch is appreciated, I have not been able to find any similar patches.
    Regards

    Hi fellow collectors, here I have a reversible Austrian Fleckerlteppich (Pea Pattern) to Steintarnung (Stone Pattern) cover sitting on one of my Austrian Stahlhelm M58 helmets. Another classic use of German WW2 patterns reused post war.

    Interestingly following some research I discovered that in 1995 the Heeresbekleidungsanstalt (HBA) officially released a document with sewing instructions, allowing the use of old surplus tent parts (Zeltbahn) and other discarded camouflage material as material for helmet covers.

    Very nice Estonian camo and totally agree with you on the scarceness of this pattern,I did a quick search for Tartu Malev, and found this so I assume it is the National defence force of Estonia.

    Translation form Estonian to English
    National Defence is part of the armed forces, one of the main forces in the push to go on free will. The Defence mission is to increase the nation's readiness to defend Estonia's sovereignty and constitutional order.

    In addition to different levels of military training, offers a variety of opportunities for self-development and the Defence exciting and meaningful leisure. National Defence is the Brotherhood, which will find its place in the common goal of operating in a number of different backgrounds, of different ages, people all over Estonia.

    The Defence Tartu malev combines protection from all allies County cities and municipalities and structurally divided into the following:

    The first malevkond;
    Academic malevkond;
    Malevkond oak;
    Elva individual company;
    Of North County single company;
    Motorized individual group.

    Tartu army also operates:

    Naiskodukaitse Tartu District;
    Young Eagles Tartu Malev;
    Guides Tartu Region.

    Military exercises and training in addition to the commonly celebrated important events - army anniversary of Victory Day, Republic Day. Nance national as well as participating in training exercises, parades and cooperate with local governments and other power structures. Home Brigade training plus the opportunity to participate in the Defence School courses.

    Tartu army operates at the Defence House Chorus and puts his shoulder down POPSID brass.

    Many thanks , the Austrian camo is not all that common in the UK, so I can imagine even harder on your side of the pond

    Hi all, here's another 68 pattern Combat jacket from my collection, I assume this one is late 70's /early 80's as the label has the Imperial size 3 and the metric Nato size stated?. This model has been listed as 72 pattern but I this is more of a collectors description rather than an official MoD classification. The DPM pattern is more akin to the later pattern too.

    Hi All, this is another S95 field Jacket from my collection, pretty standard features of this era clothing type. Note the Jackets rip-stop material always has the raised "pimpled" effect as standard whereas the trousers were not available in rip-stop material.

    That pimpled effect can become very pronounced if the jacket is washed at too high a temperature, the cotton content in the cloth shrinks but the synthetic fibre that provides the rip stop does not!...
