It's apparent I am not so proficient at photography. As I take some pieces out I am photographing them. Needed to be done. These are not rare but represent many years of my youth obtaining them. Hope you all enjoy seeing what I am sharing. If anyone is interested I can continue photographing the rest of it as I take it out of storage and I will post it. Talk to you folks soon.Best regards - Mike

Perhaps a thread for each item in the correct forum? A better chance to have expert eyes on your collection that way.

    Hi Mike,

Unfortunately the Karneth 25 GAB is a well known fake of many years standing. The easiest points of issue to see are on the reverse. The pin is wrong, especially where it joins the hinge, which is also incorrect. The rivets are not right either, nor is the overly wide, or fat catch.

If you've had this many years it's an easy mistake, as pre internet forums, you had to rely a lot more on provenance and the plain honesty of people like dealers to get a surefire genuine piece.

    Sorry for the bad news.

    Regards, Ned.
