More great stuff posted, glad to see it was such a good year for pick ups.
Whatever its just an opinion.
I had some great pickups this year but this banner is probably my favorite. This is a vet bring back from the father of a close family friend. I was visiting earlier this year and we got to talking about how I've started to collect WW2 memorabilia. During this conversation he told me that he had a trunk full of items from his father that had been in storage for years. While I was there he was able to dig out the banner, a HJ knife and an NSDAP kampfbinde and gave them to me. They are proudly displayed in my collection.
As I like all things Iron Cross related, this was my favorite find
of the year.
It is a Breast cross for the Order of Teutonic Knights. This one dates
to the early 1860s.

My favorite find of the year came to me last weekend. I acquired this grouping from the son of the vet who brought it back. The pistol was acquired at the Gusen Concentration Camp in the days following it's liberation. The photo albums contain some very disturbing pictures of the camp.
Super nice treasures guys - Keep them coming !
( Love those beautiful uniforms and
helmets Kris.........! )
My minty Land Customs Trade was probably my favorite acquisition of 2014. Hope you enjoy. Been looking all over for a portepee for it but have had a tough time locating one. Anyone comes onto one let me know.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Dear Friends...May the year ahead be filled with many blessings and hope your stockings are packed with Militaria.
