Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
I suddenly realized that I probably wouldn't be able to catch up....

The only one I have. It is from a tank ace Otto Carius - his book "Tigers in the mud". He did amazing work in 1944 near Narwa and is still alive. I have not met him personally but I just asked if I can get his signature and after 3 weeks I had a pleasant surprise in mailbox.
I asked him last sunday and got it today! I would have love to get it personaly (it is only 300km from where I live!).

I got my book 1 year ago in the beginning of January. The best Christmas present. Now Otto Carius again owns all rights to his book and it was republished in German last year.
This is maybe a bit naughty after the recent 'Douglas Bader' thread, but here goes...................................
I'll now grab the trusty old battle bowler and head for the nearest blast pen !
Whatever anyones opinion of Bader Martin he is still a well known Historical figure and a brave man , certainly a book and signature i would love to have !!

Another contribution to this thread. A signed book and a few photos from Herr Harald Nugiseks, RK holder and veteran of the 20. SS-Grenadier-Division.
Looking for the photo albums of Leutnant Emil Freitag, 3. / G.R. 377
Hi Gents,
I thought I would share my signed book with you.
Mr Lubbeck was even so kind as to answer a few questions I also sent him along with the book.
Thanks a lot to Luke who helped me with this
Regards
Jay.
