I met a lot of them people as well, when a was a youngster, it never came to me to ask for theyre signatures (exept Leon Degrelle, but I was a "adult" of 18 at that time...).
But at the age of 15 it was "not done" to go and ask them guy's anything! I certainly regret it now!

    Excellent! Keep 'em coming, Paul.
Here's one I got signed a few years back. I even had a few phone conversations with him. A great book and a true gentleman.

I have three signed books from WWI. The first up is The Bridge to France by Edward Hurley. Hurley was the Chairman of the United States Shipping Board, which together with the Emergency Fleet Corporation was responsible for providing the United States with enough wartime shipping to supply the AEF in France. Edward Hurley's photo is in the center of the group on the left page.

The Naval Consulting Board was a think tank the Navy Department put together to solve the navy's wartime problems, the most serious of which was how to locate and destroy submerged U-boats. The Board was composed of America's most brilliant scientists and was chaired by Thomas A. Edison. The official history of the Board was written by Lloyd N. Scott, a member of the Inventions Section, General Staff.

Very nice, Dwight! Thank you for sharing. Thanks for the heads-up on " Victory at Sea." I might have to try and find that one.
