This is the only signed book that I've got that's relevant here. The rest of mine are all sci-fi / fantasy, motorsport or astronomy LOL. Picked this up for 10p on a boot sale many moons ago.

That man is a legend and must have been as tough as hell, actually just getting into the X1 with broken ribs. I could barely stand up when i broke my ribs!...
It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

I'm Spartacus, not really i'm Paul!...

I know. As with most of the test pilots and later the astronauts, they kept a lot of stuff on the QT so they didn't get pulled off the flights. Basically it boiled down to the fact that they didn't want anyone else going in their place.

So determined and so single-minded. Just amazing.

Yep indeed, it's hard enough just to breathe with broken ribs never mind flying an experimental aircraft. Tough as old boots!..

Ive a few that ill try getting on here sometime. They include:

The last Knight of Flanders and every photo of Remy Schrijnen is signed by he himself at his home in Hagen when Susanne and I stayed with he and his Frau in 2000. The dust jacket is signed as well as he signed a page long dedication to myself on both front and ending pages. ;-)) I don't know for sure if im the only person ever he did this for? but I was at the time--the only person he signed every photo in that book for-as well as two full pages of dedcations.

My copy of: Shooting the War, was also signed by Otto Giese and presented to me at the U 181 Reunion in Bad Camberg on Sept 15-16th 2000. I also have a booklet signed by Dieter Hille--as well as I have his upgraded enlistedmans overseas cap he gave to me as a birthday gift in 2001. Dieter was the Engineering officer on U 181 after Luth had left.

I have a few others including Island of Fire signed by Jason mark, and The Blonde Knight of Germany signed by Raymond Tolliver.
