Fair enough. There was a pretty good description to go with the pic. Just got curious. Sorry about that. I can count 9, but how many were they. A quite good harvest.

I think there were over 2 dozen I do not remember for sure now.
The picture I took was to get the four I killed in front of my position 3 were within 15 yards and the one with his brains on the ground fell into my sand bagged slit trench. It got real hairy for a few minutes.

    Very impressive thread.

I don't go out of my way to find Vietnam items but over the years, I've picked
    up a few stray pieces.
Very nice Gerber, Randall and EK in your pic. That Randall is worth quite a bit of green. But all three are favourites of mine, I must admit. I have several Gerber and EKs but only one Randall. Unfortunately not a Vietnam era knife.

I honestly believed that that they couldn't swim through the shit pond I produced on the spot but that was not the case. They were well trained and they fought hard. After the fight was over I felt so tired, apparently the adrenalin wore off. I was very worried about the guys in my outfit but no one got hit.

Thank you. Next on my wish list is an original CISO Recon knife.

I would love to see your blades.

CISO - is that the oddly shaped Vietnam era fighting knife? If so, its beautiful. Good luck hunting one down.
The later SOG knife company had nothing to do with the Vietnam era knives, but they still have made some quality knives.

I will try to take some pics of the Gerbers, EKs and the Randall.
For now, here are my most recently bought knives. Can you tell, Im a BUCK fan? ;-)
All pics are sellers pics, as I have not yet the knives in hand. Sorry for going OT.

EDIT; found pics of the Randall and an EK. My Gerbers are just bog standard post-Vietnam NMKI & MKIIs, so just ordinary Gerbers. Wish I had one of those Gerbers with the curved blade...
    EK and CS Recon Tanto

Randall. I was lucky to get this via a friend and Randall collector. There are a five year wait form the factory.

Now that I mentioned SOG; here is one of mine

'A few' Randalls more. Also a few other quality makers, but mainly Randalls. Mine is in there somewhere.

This last one is one of my favourite Randall designs. Will try to persuade my friend to part with it. That is going to be an uphill battle though...

    Indeed, very nice Randalls !

Scout, the only thing which associates 'SOG Specialty Knives' to Vietnam,
is that the founder of the company - Spencer Fraser - is a
    Vietnam Veteran.........
