i have a belt like this but bigger from my uncle who was in the 2/6 battalion. im tring to put a value on it for insurance any ideas? thanks
Hi Johno, and welcome to the forum!
The value will depend upon which badges are fixed to the belt: some are worth more than others. Would it be possible to see a pic of it please?

Welcome also mate.
As ade stated it's valve is the sum of it's contents.Or in this case it's attachments
I to would love to see it for sure.Their very personal artifacts IMO and a direct link to their creators.
All the best Johno
Thats a massively varied collection of badges on that stable belt, there's even a cap-badge from the SALVATION ARMY there! (First picture, top right as looking, with the motto "Blood and Fire" on it)
How do you put a price on it? To some people it would be priceless, to other's, on a more practical standpoint, as has been stated, the value would be on the combined retail value of the individual items. Personally, would I let it go if it were mine? Hell would freeze over first before I let it go!
I think the Salvation Army badge is of British origins. It's a nice piece as they were always just behind the front line of nearly every battle Commonwealth troops were involved in.I love the image of the Salvo's on the Kokoda Track in 1942.
I will find it and post it.
God bless um.
Yes mate it would be priceless to me to.This Stable belt will remain in Mel Fergusons family for future generations to admire and is a direct link to Eric their desendent.
