Selection of N.S.B.O.

I do not think that the NSBO buckle is particularly sought after or popular within the collecting fraternity, although having said that, there are some quite interesting, unusual and striking designs.

It has been stated within various publications that the buckle was first introduced and worn in the mid 1930's , although I think that this is most unlikely. Instead, a much earlier period of wear and perhaps, the non regulated buckle was first worn in the late 1920's and thereafter, prohibited in the mid 1930's.

Any comments, additions etc., etc. would be appreciated.
