Applying Renaissance Wax.

Hi Guys, what should I use to degrease a blade (plain and etched) before applying Ren. wax? Your knowledge appreciated! Best, Chris.

You could try Isopropyl alcohol but keep it away from any laquer or paint and wooden or artificial grips, use a clean cotton rag moistened with the alcohol to wipe the blade and it drys in a few seconds!...

Hey Chris I use denatured alcohol (methylated spirits), I find its the best stuff without leaving a nasty smell.

I suppose any de-greasing agent is what you are looking for really so you don't trap them nasty marks,
