Article about: I have this boot knife that looks like the luft knife but has a W marking instead of the 5 or 6. Can anyone tell me about it? Thanks

    No. It unfortunately didnt come with a scabbard

    hi .Take a sharp object and apply pressure to the spine of the blade and see if it digs in easy or if it glides over it swiftly. If it glides then it is medium carbon steele which is a good sign.

    Hi !

    I found this thread right now.

    There´re blades of the "Kampfmesser der Luftwaffe" known, marked with "Eagle 5", Eagle 6", "W", "S", or unmarked.

    Some collector´s believe, that "W" or. "S" could be the abbreviation of the maker.
