Re: Dagger and Bayonet opinions
One on the left is Swiss as you thought. The other may be Itailian ?

Re: Dagger and Bayonet opinions
The piece on the right is an Italian Fascist Youth dagger & is called a GIL (Gioventu Italiana del Littorio) dagger. I'd say it's value, depending on condition, could be $300 or higher so a good deal at $150 for both.

Re: Dagger and Bayonet opinions
Came across one on Tom Johnson's site while surfing last night, he's looking for $900 for his. Deduct 25%-30% dealer premium for a general idea of value but in general Italian Fascist blades don't bring the huge money German blades do. I still say $150 is a deal, wish I could find something priced well myself.

Re: Dagger and Bayonet opinions
Thanks for the help guys, so the Italian Daggers were made in Germany?
-
Re: Dagger and Bayonet opinions
Some were, some weren't. I know Horster had some contracts with Italian weapons but there were also some Italian companies, one based on Napoli, that made their own stuff. Generally speaking, the German stuff was better made IMHO.

Re: Dagger and Bayonet opinions
That dagger has strange dimensions. It looks almost like it has a former sword hilt.
