The blade appears to be a period item however, as was already said, it's been cobbled together with other parts. The maker mark, an Imperial Feuerwehr helmet, is a scarcely seen maker's mark. This mark has been seen on late Weimar & early 3R bayonets with early style Bakelite grips. Despite the logo, these bayonets had standard KS98 style hilts & there's no evidence that they had a fire affiliation. Occasionally this logo is seen with the initials "WFP".
