    Larry i think this one original belongs to the Hewer.
    It all depends on how the lacquer has been attachted to the leather.
    This one is equiped with a lacquer that turned hard and was not flexibel, thats why it breaks under tension.
    The front with its slot is the only place where ther is no rubbing and tension.
