Default EM RLB Dagger fresh from the Max

    Hi All,
I finally filled a gap in my collection with a EM 2nd model RLB Dagger, obtained at the Max show, it is made by one of the most common RLB makers Ernst Witte, known for there light etch maker mark but this one held up pretty good, the entire piece is near mint with yummy crossgrain running the full length of the blade, hard to see in the photo's but I tried my best, the fittings are all in great shape and the enamal swaz is overall good with a small chip in one of the legs, also a common problem with these, hope you enjoy the photo's and thanks for looking!!

Well done on the hunt John ...always at these shows it is quite euphoric after searching with patience and you bag the prize. That's what I love about these shows ...sometimes it takes all day comparing other examples and nailing that final one ...the one that has been staying 1 step ahead of you all day.

Awesome condition and cross grain. Cool militaria

Thanks guys there were only about 10 of this model at the show compared to what seemed like hundreds of army luft navy SA daggers so the choosing wasn't too difficult. I now know how overwhelming a show this big can be if you don't go in with a plan.

Well you just have to love this baby!
Great blade, with a nice etched Makermark, Witte normally has very shallow etches, so finding one completely mint as yours is a gem!
    i Love this beauty.

Beautifully conditioned example. I've got its 1st model brother & am impressed by the quality. Yours looks equally as nice, congrats!
