Seen this for sale, and wonder if it is a fantasy piece, as it looks 'odd'. Is scabbard correct for it? Thanks.

Looks like'' Frankenstein'' part Navy dagger part something else maybe a HJ scabbard.hope you did not pay for this thing.

hi , these have been around for years , don't think they were produced to deceive the collecting community. the story i have heard in relation to them is that they were produced from various surplus parts in solingen during the post-war years. have seen them described for sale as hunting dirks.when you consider the amount of surplus parts Mr Atwood managed to find in the various factories in solingen during the 60s/70s it sounds plausible...cheers Paul
