My new FSP bayonet came in the mail today and I thought I'd post it. I'm pretty close to finishing off my fireman's tunic, all I need now is a belt and buckle set. Any opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

It's unmarked, other than solingen, which I know is not the maker, but rather the city of origin. I thought these fireman bayonets were quite common? I've seen quite a few, never one with its portapee though. I can't say much more on the subject, I'm still pretty novice.

If I remember correctly the Solingen mark is a generic trademark for the Solingen guild makers. A lot of times you will find this mark on one side and the maker, or more often the distributors mark on the other. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don't believe this style of Feuerwehr Faschinenmesser was made post 1945.

p.s. There are some who can tell the maker by the style of parts and certain manufacturing styles, I am not among them.
