Very easy to tell it is Italian, in the first pic all the Italians are wearing them and only Hitler from the German delegation. Obviously a state gift.

Err , Himmler is the little guy with beady eyes and a little moustache wearing a black SS Uniform ,standing behind Hitler and Il Duce, to the right of the main picture !!

The MVSN ID is correct.
This stye dagger came in 3 links with 2 styles scabbards. Silver and blue.
They sell between $800.00 to $1000.00, mayby more I havn't kept up.
Hitler is wearing a troddel with his. Not worn by Italians.
Oh yea. The high ranked ones had Ivory inserts in the handles. Regular ones black plastic.
