Article about: I have a bayonet very similar to this one except it dos not have the clam shell on the blade it says F.W. Holler Copllingen above that on the decorative piece it has the internals S.D.I. 295

    This is definitely a period original police bayonet. The majority of these were converted from Weimar Period police bayonets and had the clamshell removed. Many show dents from nail heads on the back of the handle as the police would use these to nail up posters and flyers.
