Thanks for the photo Pete great looking Naval Dolch,,,but now my interest is Piqued...and this would be a good start of a great thread. Judging by the portapee and i can not tell if its age or the real color as this might of been a Generals dagger because of the gold color of the portapee. If this is true,, then you have rare find. This is something to study for! Any other comments from our Naval Collectors? Larry

Hi Larry I posted a new thread on the Naval dagger opps.
The knot is a golden/brown color nothing like my other knot

An important feature of this dagger is that the portepee is correctly mounted. Either that portepee has never been moved, or it was placed there by somebody who really knew their stuff.
