Hi Kiwipete welcome to the forum,,$280 for a 2nd model Naval dagger is not pricey at all as they usually start around $700-800. Yes and your right collecting these daggers is an addiction.. but a fun one!! Can you show us the reverse side of the dagger to see the makers logo? Larry

The maker mark is Eickhorn long tail.
I,ll post mark tomorrow on my shop pc.

$280 was an excellent price for a KM dagger - even 11 years ago - Nice buy.........!
