NPEA Dagger, NAPOLA, Need Help
I have today received this NPEA dagger. He seems to me to be strange. No stamp is on the scabbard under the coupling shoe rakes. Also, the school stamp on the guard is missing. The tang is stamped with 1936. This mark but is unknown to me.
WHAT is your opinion about the dagger? Real or fake?

Not all period NPEA daggers had school markings on the crossguards, some later daggers don't have them & it is suspected some schools may not have marked their daggers.
Blades with the "1936" tang markings are post-1945 reproductions. No question whatsoever, bad blade. Why look further?
Agree with Billy, its a bad one.
The scabbard lug misses its Horster marking, the lug( Koppelschuhaken) is not on the right spot, it should be closer to the throat.
Its an intend to copy a Horster scabbard ( 2 lines in opperpart the scabbard lug) but its not well done.
This is a repro all the way.
