RAD dagger blade - worked over or not?

Article about: Just bought this RAD dagger. The blade looked like it had been sharpened and possibly polished. Im no expert and was not sure if the Hewers were made this way or if it had been reconditioned

Its hard to tell about the blade with all the glare and such, does it feel really sharp? Does the edge look smoother then the rest of the blade in that one pic or is it just the angle, either way, maker is a rarer one, somewhere in the 400-500 range sounds about right, I have seen complete versions of this maker go for 1000.

Desirabilty and condition,, are always number 1 in the forefront of pricing. The Producer logo as Eric Z points out,, helps this particular dagger along in value as it is a rarely seen logo. If this would be a commonly seen Eickhorn in the sharpened and polished state it is in,,,then I would say the assessment values that are given are in the ball park. There are some collectors regardless of its condition collect the "Type" dagger until a better one comes along. Rare maker...nice pick up! Regards Larry

Not a bad blade IMO. Still looks okay though cleaned. Congrats.
