Default RAD dagger blade - worked over or not?

Just bought this RAD dagger. The blade looked like it had been sharpened and possibly polished. Im no expert and was not sure if the Hewers were made this way or if it had been reconditioned. Also the point does not seem to be as pointed as I thought. Maybe Im being too critical. Any input would be appreciated.RAD dagger blade - worked over or not?RAD dagger blade - worked over or not?

You are one the ball. As it has been cleaned and sharpened IMO.

    Hello,
From these photos, it would appear that the blade has not been messed with. It seems to still have all of the cross graining still on the blade. I am not able to see any grinding or sanding marks along the edge. Some brighter photos might help. As these were tools, they were not necessarily pointed, (that's why they are called hewers, for chopping).

If this has been sharpened and cleaned, you can knock off about 1/4 to 1/3 of the value. JMHO.

Just out of curiosity what price range would you say this dagger would be worth? Im happy I finally got one and am not disappointed that it has been cleaned. There was no scabbard with it.
    Thanks

    Hi bone shaker.
As a fellow Mo Guy. Here I would give 300.$ as is, rare or not in that condiction and no scabbord.
But listen to the other guys for further info.
But that is just My OPINION.
