Nice original RAD Hewer and appears to be in fairly nice shape.

The blade specialists can correct me if I am wrong, but I am unaware of anyone making complete fake RAD Hewers. Not like Heer or Luftwaffe, or SA/SS daggers for instance - of which there are post-war copies made entirely of whole cloth.

Not sure I understand your comment, RAD hewers are being faked out of China for sure and probably other countries as well, a few examples of their shoddy workmanship not even near the original.. Fakes as shown fool people quite often unless you know what to look for, it comes up on my RAD forum from time to time.. G

Thought my comment was pretty clear. ??? I said I was unaware of complete fakes of RAD hewers being made, but people that are into the subject matter can correct me. Which you did. Thanks. I don't collect RAD nor do I really concentrate on edged weapons, which is why I put that caveat in there. However, I know enough to see the OP's hewer is original.

Good thing that fake looks atrocious.

I should have assumed there are, as when I saw fake black wound badges coming out I concluded there are probably fakes of everything being made. If "they" are faking a lowly black wound badge, then anything is possible.

I would also have to Agree with Gerrit .....

Mr Kekel...it would be beneficial for you to try researching some of these to strengthen your knowledge muscles.
There is no doubt in my mind that anything you are looking for CAN be found within these forum walls.
