Hi, and welcome to the forum!

Thanks for showing your very nice dagger!

I don't know of any easy way to research your man. My best guess would be to see if there is any kind of Medical association with records of Doctors from the 1930's/40's.

    Cheers, Ade.

    With pleasure,
There is however a problem. I have limited knowledge on these daggers but have been told that the chain is in fact a reproduction. I'm not sure what the giveaway is but I have no reeason to doubt the information. The dagger and scab are genuine klass (I have been told by same person). I have been considering taking the chain off to bring back to original. ? thoughts.
I have incluced some images of the few remaining dggers from an older collection ,early 70's. Unfortunately family obligations caused the sale of 16 others. Sorry these images are not the greates. The dagger blades look far better in person.

Regarding the engraving on the reverse langet I'm not sure that the good doctor would have been too pleased with it. It's not what you would expect from a German engraver. I wonder if it was done post-war to enhance the price?
