Maybe the RFV detail would be great, the RFV is stamped on obverse crossguard which is not standard, the bard is probably a M95 or a belgish bayonet, have You details off marking on frog stud.

    ]I don´t like, what I see ...

The frog stud, (it seems, it´s an shortened Mannlicher M95 scabbard), probably show´s the "V&N" -mark, ("Vogel & Noot").
The remaining colour on the scabbard looks Austrian, (K.u.k.).
The stamp between the "V" and the "N" seems German Imperial ...

IMO the blade of the bayo´s shortened, (not only the scabbard ...) !

It also seems, that the wooden grip-plates were, (newly ?), replaced !

I´m not really fit in bayonet´s, but Andy is !

Evidently is Reibert right on this the frog stud it could be v&N marked, the & is overstamped probably by a hungarian crest, the bayonet or mouth piece of the scabbard was upgraded as normally could be SG84/98 not going fully into a M95 scabbard, the RFV should be exactly compared with real pieces. best regards,Andy
PS i have the serial number of the piece.

Hello Rich. i believe the blade was shortened a little on tip and probably sharpened or little mashined on edge? So there is a reason why it could be added into this scabbard, when the mouth piece is not reworked. The RFV see little diferent as on other reported pieces, but maybe was a replacement piece later in war?
